Stanley Man Missing After Rafting Accident

(STANLEY) – Search and rescue teams in Custer County are looking for a rafter who went missing Saturday night. Mark McCoy of Stanley was thrown from his raft after it struck a submerged log in the Salmon River. McCoy’s friend, Steven Herret, was able to reach the shore and notify authorities. Officials say crews are focusing their efforts on an area from Casino to State Creek, along with surrounding regions.
