(POCATELLO) – The state Board of Education has suspended the faculty senate at Idaho State University. Tyler Andersen has more. After months of disagreements between faculty members and the administration, the state has sided with university president Arthur Vailas yet again. Administrators say there’s no real need for the senate or for creating a new university constitution, since faculty members can still have a voice through committees and other councils. Former senate members say it’s a power-grab by the Vailas administration.
