The Delicate Task of Netting and Collaring Idaho’s Bighorn Sheep

(IDAHO)  —  Outdoor Journalist Kris Millgate recently went with Fish and Game biologists who were trying to net and collar a herd of Idaho Bighorn.  Kris, talking with Tim Lewis on IMN, says that the experience was surreal and very nerve-wracking as the sheep themselves are VERY sensitive to being captured.  Their heart races and they overheat causing many problems.   She talked about her recent experience and how one of these majestic animals did not make it because of the stress involved.   As always, see the stories Kris produces for her Time Out segment on TV on her website:
