A Pair of Plane Crashes Over the Weekend
Published at | Updated at(REXBURG, IDAHO FALLS, ID) — Two people are recovering after a plane crash in Madison County Friday afternoon. Fifty-seven-year-old Allan Webb of Island Park and 31-year-old Mickel Walker of Rexburg suffered minor injuries when their small plane made a hard landing in a grain field. The single-engine Cessna reportedly lost power during the flight and clipped power lines on its way down.
AND in Idaho Falls, a private plane crash-landed at the Idaho Falls airport Saturday afternoon. The plane’s back wheel broke during the landing, flipping the plane onto its side and rupturing the fuel tank. Fire crews say both the pilot and the passenger were able to walk away from the crash uninjured. Authorities say that crashes like this one are common in small aircraft with rear-landing gears.
