(ARLINGTON, Texas) — The Oakland Athletics placed third baseman Brandon Inge on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a strained right groin. The move is retroactive to Sunday. To fill Inge’s spot on the roster, the A’s called up infielder Adam Rosales from Triple-A Sacramento.
The 34-year-old Inge signed with the A’s on April 29th, following his release from the Detroit Tigers. In 11 games this season with Oakland, Inge is batting .227 with four home runs and 17 RBIs.
This is the second time this season Inge has landed on the disabled list. He began the season on the shelf with a strained left groin.
