Baron Davis to Miss Close to a Year
Published at(NEW YORK) — It’s happened again: Baron Davis is hurt. The New York Knicks guard has a partial tear of the patella tendon in his right knee and complete tears of the right anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments, according to the team.
The injury is expected to keep Davis out for close to 12 months.
He was injured during Game 4 of the Knicks playoff series with the Miami Heat. Davis was dribbling down court when his knee buckled and he fell down.
Davis started the season missing close to two months while recovering from herniated disk injury.
In the playoffs, Davis has averaged 7.8 points and 3.3 assists per-game.
