(IDAHO FALLS) – Some big changes are coming to Dora Erickson Elementary this fall. District 91 administrators say it all comes down to state standards not being met. Classes will start a week later than other schools in the district, but will have longer school days. Officials say they’ll be putting greater emphasis on reading, math, and language arts, and will also add school uniforms. Longer hours will provide students the equivalent of 20 additional days of class by the end of the academic year.
