(CLEVELAND) — Cleveland Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday. He is expected to miss up to six weeks of action.
The Indians currently have the 35-year-old Hafner on the 15-day disabled list, the sixth time in his career that he has been placed on the DL.
Hafner is in the final year of his four-year, $57 million contract. On the season, he’s batting .242 with six home runs and 23 RBIs in 39 games played.
