The former Family Matters star and his pro partner, Kym Johnson, were dismissed from the ballroom Tuesday night after losing the final dance duel of the season to Roshon Fegan and the Disney actor’s partner, Chelsie Hightower.

After falling into the bottom two, both couples danced the rumba to the Adele hit “Set Fire to the Rain.” All three judges voted to save Fegan rather than White.

White, best known for playing the nerdy neighbor Steve Urkel on Family Matters, said he exceeded his own expectations after promising his mother that he would last long enough in the competition to perform “three good dances.”

Before and after his elimination, White tweaked Len Goodman over the judge’s honest critiques. He said at one point, “Len is the old guy outside of a grocery store who won’t give the kid any money for candy.”

On Monday’s classical music-themed performance show, White and Johnson landed in the bottom half of the leader board following a Viennese waltz and “team tango.” The lowest-scoring celebrity, Melissa Gilbert, will return next Monday along with five other stars.

Recently-eliminated contestant Gavin DeGraw was the musical guest on the results show, performing his new single “Sweeter.”
