Del Negro to Coach Clippers Next Season
Los Angeles Clippers/NBA(LOS ANGELES) -- The Los Angeles Clippers are bringing back head coach Vinny Del Negro for the 2012-2013 season.
The Clippers announced Tuesday they were picking up his option.
"We ended up with the best record in franchise history," Clippers VP. of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey told LAC TV. "We advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2006 and the team was better later than it was early. I think we see continued growth and improvement under the tutelage of Vinny."
During Del Negro's two seasons in Los Angeles, he has compiled a 72-76 record.
