Already recovering from surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered at the end of March, Peters re-injured his Achilles after an accident at his home

According to CSNPhilly.com’s Derrick Gunn, Peters was getting around on a device called a Roll-A-Bout. The device malfunctioned and broke while Peters was maneuvering around in his kitchen, causing Peters to fall on his face and caused a re-rupturing of the injury.

He needed a second surgery, and delayed his recovery time three weeks. Peters, who weighs 340 pounds, is going to sue to manufacturer of the device. Back on March 27, Peters originally suffered the injury while working out near his Texas home. To replace Peters, the Eagles signed veteran tackle Demetress Bell.

A five-time Pro Bowler, Peters had spent the past three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and established himself as one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL.
