(LONDON) — A private funeral for Robin Gibb will be held on Friday, June 8, in the United Kingdom, the Bee Gees singer’s family has announced. A public memorial for Gibb will be scheduled sometime later this year.
The Gibb family have also asked that in lieu of sending flowers, fans should donate to one of two children’s charities the pop singer championed, located on Britain’s Isle of Man — the Rebecca House hospice and Wish Upon a Dream. In addition, those wanting to share memories or tribute messages can post them on the comments section of RobinGibb.com.
Robin passed away on May 20 due to complications from his battle with cancer and an intestinal ailment. He was 62.
