Garfield Bridge Close to Completion

(IDAHO FALLS) – A major construction project in Idaho Falls could be completed by the end of the week. Local News 8 reports that construction on the new Garfield Street bridge began last November, and will likely be finished about a month-and-a-half ahead of schedule. Officials say the bridge is now open to foot traffic, and could be open to regular traffic as early as Friday. Crews will be pouring asphalt on Thursday.
