Group Seeks to Prevent Suicides
Published at | Updated at(IDAHO FALLS) – Idaho has the fourth highest suicide rate in the nation, and one local group is reaching out to help those struggling. Jeni Griffin, executive director of eastern Idaho’s Suicide Prevention Action Network, tells KIDK that Idaho’s suicide rate is 67 percent above the national average. Health experts say treatment for depression, anxiety, and other disorders can be extremely helpful for those contemplating taking their own lives.
