MIA James LeBron? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1338281953819Miami Heat/NBA(MIAMI) — Miami Heat forward LeBron James scored 32 points and grabbed 13 boards, as the Heat smoked the Boston Celtics 93-79, in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

“We felt we could have played better and I’m sure they felt the same thing,” Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said. “But we were able to find a way to grind it and you have to do that against this team.”

The Heat shot a season-high 77.8 percent from the paint. Celtics forward Kevin Garnett, who scored a team high of 23 points, talked about their interior defense.

“We can’t beat this team by giving them layups,” Garnett said. “I thought they did a real good job of being aggressive…getting to the basket. We got to be more disciplined to our defense and believe in it.”

Garnett and the Celtics will get a chance to believe again on Wednesday in Miami. Game 2 starts at 8:30 PM Eastern time.
