Heats’ Haslem, Pittman Suspended

NBA? SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1337854237041National Basketball Association(MIAMI) — Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem and center Dexter Pittman have been suspended for their flagrant fouls in Game 5 of the Heat’s Eastern Conference Semifinal versus the Indiana Pacers.

Haslem was suspended for Game 6 for hitting Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough on the face while not appearing to go for the ball.

Pittman was suspended for three games for elbowing Pacers guard Lance Stephenson. Replays of Pittman look like he deliberately made a choice to hit Stephenson. In Game 3, Stephenson made the choke sign when Heat forward LeBron James was at the free throw line.

While Pittman hasn’t played much throughout the series, Haslem is a big loss. He has posted double-digit scoring outputs, while coming off the bench during the last two games.
