I’ll Have Another Wins 137th Preakness Stakes
Published at(NEW YORK) — I’ll Have Another has done it again, as the 3-year-old colt edges Bodemeister in 137th Preakness Stakes.
Bodemeister led most of the race, but I’ll Have Another stormed back on the final stretch and won by a neck.
“We didn’t want “Bodemeister” to get a super-easy lead,” I’ll Have Another trainer Doug O’Neill said. You know, but we didn’t want to take- we didn’t want to gun our horse and take our horse out of this game either.”
I’ll Have Another has now won the first two legs of horse racing’s Triple Crown. If he wins the Belmont on June 9th, he will become the first horse to win the Triple Crown since Affirmed did it in 1978.
