INL Asks State to Take Partial Ownership
(IDAHO FALLS) – The Idaho National Laboratory has asked the state to take partial ownership of the site. INL officials say they’ve asked state authorities to work with the site in mutually beneficial areas such as economic growth and energy security. They say the Leadership in Nuclear Energy Commission remains an important element in the relationship between the state and the INL. Though nothing is yet set in stone, officials say state involvement will likely increase in the coming years.
