Jackson to Buy Bridger-Teton Land

(JACKSON, Wyo.) – The city of Jackson has struck a deal with the U.S. Forest Service to buy 10-acres of Bridger-Teton National Forest land in downtown Jackson. The acreage is currently used for Bridger-Teton’s administrative offices. Officials say the buildings aren’t up to code and aren’t adequate to meet the needs of the Forest Service. There’s no word yet as to how much the city will pay, and the property is due for appraisal later this month.
