(WASHINGTON) — After staying put last week, jobless claims have taken a slight turn downwards, falling by 2,000, the Labor Department reported Thursday.
For the week ending May 19, the number of people filing for benefits dropped to 370,000. The previous week, claims stood at 372,000.
The four-week average was also 370,000, falling by 5,500 from 375,500.
