LeBron Scores 17 in the Fourth, Heat Burn Knicks 87-70

Getty Miami Heat?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1336115286288Ronald Martinez/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — The Miami Heat outscored the New York Knicks 29-14 in the fourth quarter, as the Heat burned the Knicks 87-70, giving them a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Miami forward Lebron James had 17 of the Heat’s fourth quarter points.

“My mindset was to make plays for our team to try and help us win down the stretch,” James said. “I was able to come in and make some plays to help us win.”

James finished the night with 32 points, while guard Dwyane Wade had 20.

The Knicks, who were playing without center Amare Stoudemire, received 22 points from Carmelo Anthony in the loss.

The loss was the Knicks 13th straight in the postseason, setting a NBA playoff record.

The Heat will go for the sweep Sunday afternoon in New York.
