LeFavour “Outs” Fellow Gay Lawmaker
(POCATELLO) – District 29 House candidate Nate Murphy has his sights set on becoming Idaho’s youngest legislator in history. The 22-year-old was elected to the Pocatello School Board in 2011 after spending only $10 on his campaign. However, Murphy says he’ll likely face an uphill battle after he was “outed” as a gay man by Democratic congressional candidate Nicole Lefavour earlier this year. Along with a misdemeanor marijuana conviction in 2008, Murphy says he’ll instead focus on issues that matter to him, including improving Idaho’s education.
