More Drivers Ignoring Bus Stop-Arm

(BLACKFOOT) – More and more drivers are ignoring buses and their stop arms according to one bus contractor in Bingham County. Valene Olney tells Local News 8 that some drivers are completely “out-of-it” and speed right past when the stop sign is out and children are crossing. Teton Stagelines buses installed cameras to catch drivers who break the law. Failing to yield to a school bus stop arm is a misdemeanor that can result in a $300 fine and up to a year in prison
