NFL Suspends Four Players For Roles In Bounty System
Published at(NEW YORK) — The NFL has suspended four players for their roles in the New Orleans Saints bounty program.
Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, who is suspended for the entire 2012 season, received the harshest penalty. Former saints defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, now with the Packers, has been suspended for the first eight games of 2012, while defensive lineman Will Smith received a four game ban. Linebacker Scott Fujita, now with the Browns, will miss three games.
ESPN reported all four players will appeal the NFL’s ruling.
