But two missed free throws by LeBron James and a missed layup by Dwyane Wade put game 2 in the books with a 78-75 Pacers win.

David West scored 16 for Indiana in the win. Still, he realized that it is only one-game and his team still has three more left if they are to move on to the NBA finals.

“Can’t get too excited because we won one game, that’s not our goal in this series, we can’t overreact because we were able to get one game down here,” said West. “We’ve gotta win professionally, understand we haven’t reached the goal we set out to reach.”

Miami did have a chance to tie the game in the last seconds, but Mario Chalmer’s three-pointer was unable to fall.

“The game is not lost or won with two free throws,” said LeBron James who scored 28 in the loss for Miami. “But I definitely want to come through for my teammates. So I’ll get an opportunity again. I know I’ll be at the line again in that situation. Just go up and make ’em.”

Game 3 will be Thursday night in Indiana.
