Pesticides Could Be Factor in Fish Deaths

(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  — Pesticides may be responsible for the deaths of hundreds of fish in an Idaho Falls pond.  The Idaho Department of Fish and Game stocked the pond at Ryder Park during the first week of May, but within two days the trout began to die off.  Toxicology tests are being performed out-of-state.  Officials say a nearby field had been treated with pesticides that were extremely toxic to fish shortly before the fish died.
