(PHILADELPHIA) — The Philadelphia Phillies placed two-time Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a strained right shoulder. He is expected to be out six to eight weeks.
The 35-year-old Halladay is 4-5 on the season, with a 3.98 ERA. He has struck out 56 batters in 72 and 1/3 innings of work.
To take Halladay’s spot on the roster, the Phillies recalled catcher Eric Kratz from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
