Prosecutor Speaks Out About Leavitt Death Penalty

(BLACKFOOT) – Former Bingham County Prosecutor Tom Moss is speaking out about the upcoming execution of Richard Leavitt. Tom Moss  says that the heinous nature of Leavitt’s alleged crime brought national attention to the area. Leavitt is accused of murdering a Blackfoot woman nearly 30 years ago, then mutilating her body either before or after she died. Moss says the nature of the crime went beyond murder into something worse. Leavitt is scheduled for execution June 12.
