Randy Moss Works Out for First Time with 49ers
(SANTA CLARA, Calif.) -- Randy Moss worked out for the first time with his new team on Thursday.
Moss, who spent the entire 2011 season away from football, looked as fresh as could be. Wearing a red No. 84 jersey while running routes with a short haircut, Moss was a prominant face on the field for the San Francisco 49ers.
"It's tough to tell that he missed a year of football. I certainly don't see any rust," 49ers quarterback Alex Smith said. "He's running well, catching well. No surprise, he's a pro and already has a good understanding of the playbook."
Moss joins a receiving core of Michael Crabtree and newly acquired free agent/Super Bowl champion Mario Manningham and is looking forward to his next workout.
The seven-time pro-bowler has 954 catches for 14,858 yards and 153 TDs in his 13-year career and is hoping to add more to that total this season in the Bay area.
