(IDAHO FALLS) – Idaho’s overall unemployment rate is dropping, but southeast Idaho’s rates are still going up. KIDK reports that Pocatello’s jobless rate went from 7.2 percent to 7.4 percent in April, while Idaho Falls went from 6.8 to 7 percent. In fact, five out of nine counties in the region saw disappointing numbers last month. Regional experts say the increase may be due to employers holding off on making summer jobs available.
