(LOS ANGELES) — Rihanna is the first big name announced for this year’s American Idol finale, which will take place Wednesday, May 23 on Fox. Rih-Rih will perform “Where Have You Been” on the show, and we’ll also find out who’ll be crowned the season 11 champ.
American Idol always lines up an eclectic collection of stars for its blowout finale. Last year alone, the finale guests included Lady Gaga, Judas Priest, Gladys Knight, Beyonce, actor Jack Black, Tony Bennett, the surviving members of TLC, Tim McGraw, Marc Anthony, Tom Jones, Carrie Underwood, Bono & The Edge from U2 and even Idol judge Steven Tyler.
