(LONDON) — A polo match is never just a polo match, at least when the new generation of England’s royal family is involved. Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton proved that lesson true this weekend when the headline-grabbing trio showed up for the Audi Polo Challenge, an annual event to raise funds for the princes’ favorite charities.
Middleton was kept company on the sidelines watching her husband, William, the Duke of Cambridge, and brother-in-law Prince Harry, 27, play in the match by a royal aide and the newest addition to the royal family, the couple’s dog Lupo.
Lupo had free reign off the polo field and reportedly took advantage of it, romping around the sidelines, making friends with fellow dogs and charming some of the other 200 attendees.
Harry had particular interest in this year’s match, held in Ascot, England, as all the proceeds went to one of his favored charities, Sentebale.
