Students, Firefighters Blaze Trail for Literacy
(IDAHO FALLS) – District 91 students and the Idaho Falls Fire Department were “blazing the trail” for literacy this week. 12 students who read the most books were able to get a ride to class in a fire truck. Local News 8 reports that Spencer Glass of Longfellow Elementary took home the district’s top prize, logging nearly 12,000 minutes of reading during this year’s contest. Fire crews say they’re happy to serve as motivation.
