Suspected Meth Lab at Fire Scene

(IDAHO FALLS) – A house fire near Freeman Park in Idaho Falls led to the discovery of a meth lab Wednesday evening. Authorities say 46-year-old Rodney Jenkins and 40-year-old Tonia Jo Bates both had outstanding warrants on drug-related charges, and were arrested after the fire was contained. Investigators discovered chemicals and glassware in the basement that were consistent with tools used to manufacture meth. The house is now being treated as a crime scene. Both suspects will be back in court May 23.
