Teen Arrested After Homework Left at Crime Scene

(OREM, Utah) – An Orem, Utah teen is behind bars after leaving his homework at the scene of a burglary. Police officers say the 18-year-old suspect broke into a home shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday and fled on foot after the 75-year-old homeowner found him. The victim suffered minor injuries during a scuffle with the burglar. The teen reportedly dropped his backpack in the victim’s backyard, where police found documents on the suspect’s USB drive. An investigation is ongoing.
