The Pocatello Mail Processing Center is Off The Chopping Block, For Now

(POCATELLO, ID)  — The U.S. Postal Service has stalled recent plans to close the Pocatello mail processing center.   Postal Service officials have announced that they will consolidate their network of 461 processing locations in two phases.   For now, however, the Gate City facility will remain open through at least February of 2014.   The USPS had initially planned to move all of eastern Idaho’s mail processing to a Salt Lake City distribution center. Authorities say that might still be a possibility.
