Two Defendants in Garner Stabbing in Court

(IDAHO FALLS) – Two defendants connected to the Christmas Day murder of Buck Garner were back in court Monday. 19-year-old Derek Perez reached a plead deal and admitted to being principal to an aggravated battery. As part of the agreement, no further charges will be filed against him. 18-year-old Alex Gonzalez asked for more time before his sentencing. Gonzalez is accused of harboring Garner’s alleged murderer, Joseph Chavez. Both men will likely be sentenced later this month.
