(McCALL) – Workers at a western Idaho ski resort have begun dismantling a high-speed chairlift after the resort’s owners were unable to pay for it. The lift, which was installed in 2005, underscores the turbulent financial history of the Tamarack resort, which is nearing the end of foreclosure proceedings in state court. Owners backed off buying the “Woodland Express” lift, contending that Bank of America financiers wanted too much money.
