(NEW YORK) — The Egyptian Presidential Election Commission has declared Mohammed Morsi, of the Muslim Brotherhood, the winner in Egypt’s presidential election.
Morsi won the election 52-48, as the Muslim Brotherhood had predicted. Crowds are converging on Tahrir Square as fireworks explode. Tens of thousands are expected to gather in the square to support him.
