Candidates Reaching Out With Social Media

(POCATELLO) – With election day just five months away, politicians are reaching out to more potential voters than ever before. Social media outlets like Facebook are quickly becoming the preferred way for candidates to persuade younger voters. House candidate Dave Bowen of Pocatello says he hopes Facebook can be utilized to better inform constituents before they hit the polls in November. As for the presidential race, Barack Obama has over 27 million Facebook followers, while Mitt Romney has just under two million.
