Chubbuck Conducts Controlled Burns

(CHUBBUCK) – Chubbuck fire crews have been busy fighting several fires in the past few days.Fire Chief Eric King says that for nearly two weeks, the department has had at least one fire a day. Earlier this week a structure fire near the Pine Ridge Mall was used as a controlled training exercise. King says the fire was needed to keep the crews in shape, especially their volunteers. Once the debris from the exercise is cleared, construction crews will begin work on a new 150-unit apartment complex.
