Crews Contain Lava Fire

(SHELLEY) – Eastern Idaho fire crews worked well into Monday afternoon battling a blaze about six miles west of Shelley. The “Lava Fire” near Horseshoe Road burned 314 acres in a little over 24 hours, though the fire appeared to be under control late into the afternoon. No homes or other structures were threatened by the fire, which remains under investigation.
