Drowning Victim ID’d

(CHALLIS) – The Custer County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man who drowned on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River earlier this week. Officials say 34-year-old Jonathan Victor Boiling of Colorado Springs, Colorado was part of a rafting party that had launched from the Boundary Creek boat ramp, and that the Boiling fell in at around noon Sunday. Investigators say the current was swift and cold, making rescue efforts nearly impossible.
