(JAKARTA, Indonesia) — A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck western Indonesia on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No injuries or damages were immediately reported.
The quake hit at 6:18 p.m. local time just 106 miles south southwest of the capital, Jakarta. It was nearly 42 miles deep.
