Emergency Declared to Fight Fires
(POCATELLO) – A state of emergency was declared to help fight three fires in Bannock County Monday. A brush fire on the Fort Hall Reservation destroyed one home and sent one person to the hospital. Around the same time, two other fires were sparked on Satterfield in Pocatello and on Yellowstone Highway in Chubbuck. Sheriff Lorin Nielsen says all three appear to be man-caused, though investigators are unsure whether the fires are connected to the same person.
