NBA? Knee issues forced Roy to retire before even entering his prime, but that could be changing. According to ESPN 1150, the Minnesota Timberwolves will offer Roy a two-year contract.

Roy played just five seasons for the Portland Trail Blazers, and was forced to retire following the 2010-2011 season. When on the court, Roy was an All-Star player, but it didn’t last.

In those five seasons, Roy averaged 19.0 points 4.7 assists per game. His best season came during the 2008-2009 season where he averaged 22.6 points per game.

Roy had been rumored to try and make a comeback, and it appears it is becoming a reality. Roy is said to be training hard in his hometown Seattle working on his game and his health.

Unlike other free agents, Roy can sign with any team at any time this offseason.
