While both teams are excited to be getting each respective player, one player on the Flyers is particularly excited the team acquired Schenn, his brother Brayden.

Brayden, just wrapped up his first full season in the NHL and his first with the Flyers as well. He was acquired by the team last summer in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings. He recorded 18 points in 54 games and is considered one of the brighter prospects in the NHL.

Meanwhile, Luke was the fifth overall pick by Toronto back in 2008. He has spent the past four seasons in the NHL with the Maple Leafs and registered 22 points last season.

“I was real surprised when I found out,” Brayden told the Philadelphia Daily News. “Luke called me to tell me he was going to be part of the Flyers. I’m excited and stunned.”

It looks as though the two brothers will be on the same team for the foreseeable future. Brayden is only 20 and is signed through 2014 while Luke is 22 and signed through the 2015-2016 season.
