Former Sewer Manager Sentenced

(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  –   The former manager of the Iona-Bonneville Sewer District has been sentenced to five years probation and a $1,000 fine. Sixty-seven-year-old Dorothy McCarty allegedly failed to deposit more than $1,000 in cash into the district’s accounts.  McCarty will also have to pay more than $2,200 in restitution and will be forbidden from holding a job where she handles money until she completes probation.  McCarty denied any wrongdoing throughout the case, though she entered an Alford plea last November.
