Heat’s Chris Bosh Won’t Participate In Olympics
(NEW YORK) -- In the same week that Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade backs out of this year's Olympic games, his teammate Chris Bosh also let it be known he will not participate this Summer either.
Even though, he participated in the NBA Finals, Bosh was dealing with an abdominal injury that kept him out of nine games during the playoffs. To avoid further injury, Bosh has decided to take the rest of the Summer off to get healthy for next season.
"Chris is still nursing an injury," Heat executive Pat Riley told Fox Sports Florida. "He has a significant abdominal injury. If we weren't in the playoffs against Boston, he probably would not have played for another three to four weeks."
Bosh's absence might prove to be a big blow to Team USA. They are already without big men Dwight Howard and LaMarcus Aldridge. Tyson Chandler is the only true center left on the team along with Kevin Love.
