(AMERICAN FALLS, ID) — Intermountain Gas crews have restored service to approximately 900 homes and businesses impacted by Thursday’s gas outage in American Falls. Intermountain technicians have visited every customer in American Falls since Thursday afternoon, in the first pass of relighting equipment. About 350 customers remain without service because Intermountain personnel were unable to gain inside access because no one was home or if a business was closed. If the technician was unable to gain access to relight the gas equipment, notification was left at the door. Intermountain crews were out again Friday morning relighting equipment for affected customers, and are currently going door to door attempting to get inside the remaining homes and buildings. If a customer’s service has not been reactivated, they can contact the Customer Service Center at 1-800-548-3679 to arrange for restoration. If American Falls customers see Intermountain personnel working near your home or business, they can alert the IGC technicians that they need to have their gas appliances checked and re-lit.
